Thunderstorms moved across portions of northeast Iowa during the afternoon of July 11th. These storms produced some damaging winds that blew down trees in Riceville (Mitchell County) and in and near Elkader (Clayton County). Locally heavy rains from the storms caused some street flooding to occur in Waukon (Allamakee County).
