During the morning of July 2nd, a complex of thunderstorms developed along an old outflow boundary in northeast Mississippi and spread quickly southward through the day. Thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall and training over some areas resulted in flash flooding. A few damaging wind gusts also occurred with this line of storms during the afternoon.
