A stationary thunderstorm producing prolonged heavy rainfall over Dundy County Nebraska began to develop west into Yuma County during the night. The heavy rainfall continued into the overnight hours before ending. Up to six inches of rainfall occurred, and was centered over Highway 34, with amounts declining a few miles west of Wray. The axis of heavy rainfall was also centered over the Republican River Basin, which caused flooding in Wray well after the storm had ended.
