Scattered showers and thunderstorms developed during the afternoon of the 7th. Dewpoints were in the 70s with high humidity values. The environment supported torrential rainfall rates of 3 inches per hour, with instantaneous rates up to 5 inches an hour. An isolated thunderstorm produced flash flooding in Trumbull County with multiple roads closed primarily in Newton Falls.
