As is typical during summer, scattered afternoon thunderstorms produced a few instances of damaging winds. During the afternoon of July 3rd, a line of storms produced a large amount of cloud to ground lightning, some strong winds, and some flash flooding across portions of southern Georgia. These storms were mainly driven by a weak frontal boundary and mesoscale boundary interactions.
