A strong upper level low pressure system moved toward MINW from the west during the morning of July 14th. Strong to severe thunderstorms developed around midday and moved eastward through the afternoon hours. Some of the stronger storms contained intense rainfall rates with localized flash flooding across northern Cumberland County and Coastal Lincoln County.
