Flash Flood — St. Louis, MO

A high precipitation and flash flooding event occurred over east central Missouri and southwest Illinois beginning during the evening of August 8th, and ending during the early afternoon of August 9th. Rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches with as much as 7 inches were reported, primarily in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. There were numerous road closures, and at least 13 water rescues. There were no reported injuries or deaths.
