Tropical Storm Isaias moved northward along the East Coast, passing west of New York City during the afternoon. With a tropical airmass in place, heavy rainfall on the leading edge of the storm resulted in isolated flash flooding in parts of northeast New Jersey. Rainfall amounts ranged from 1-3 inches, with Teterboro Airport reporting 1.45 inches of rain from the storm.
