Thanks to a stationary boundary draped southwest to northeast across the TN and Mid-MS Valley, several waves of moderate to heavy rainfall occurred on September 13, 2020. While the heaviest rainfall totals remained to the north of the Hydrologic Service Area across portions of Western Tennessee, portions of Northwest Alabama were on the southern tip of the heavy rainfall received that day.
