An ice jam developed on the Aroostook River during the afternoon of the 27th in the vicinity of Grimes Road...leading to the closure of the road. Fluctuating river levels in the vicinity of the ice jam caused the road to be opened and re-closed several times from the 27th into the 30th. The ice jam released during the afternoon of the 30th allowing river levels to fall.
