Flash Flood — Hickory, MO

A low pressure system deepened rapidly as it moved from southwest Kansas to southwest Missouri to southern Illinois. Strong to severe storms that developed over northern Oklahoma and central Kansas around midnight on the 17th pushed eastward into southeast Kansas and western Missouri by daybreak. Several of these storms produced hail to the size of quarters and wind gusts over 60 mph during the early morning. ||After the morning storms dissipated, with the loss of support from the nocturnal low
