Multiple days of rainfall, which was heavy at times, produced saturated soils across much of Tazewell County, especially across the headwaters of the Clinch River. During the early morning hours of March 1st, the cold front moved southward from the Ohio River Valley, bringing the axis of heavy rain across the county.
