Upper level disturbances rotating around a large upper level low positioned across California and Nevada led to generation of storms in New Mexico and mainly western portions of the Panhandles. With weak wind shear in place, storms were not very organized, but instability was sufficient to produce a few severe storms in the area. The slow moving storms also led to some localized heavy rainfall and minor street flooding in some urban areas.
