Strong to severe thunderstorms moved into northwestern Arkansas during the morning of the 28th. These storms produced widespread heavy rainfall that resulted in flash flooding, as well as damaging wind gusts. Another round of thunderstorms developed across northwestern Arkansas during the evening of the 28th, as a cold front moved into the area.
