Thunderstorms produced as much as 3 inches of rain in three hours during the late evening and early morning of June 11-12. Hardest hit was the Austin area, where flooding affected most of the city. In fact, people were rescued from vehicles submerged in high water. In addition, a section of Interstate 90 was closed due to high water.
