Claudette began as an unorganized area of low pressure in the SW Gulf of Mexico. It then tracked north towards the Gulf Coast and eventually strengthened into a Tropical Storm on Saturday morning, June 19th near the Louisiana coast. The cyclone gradually weakened and tracked across N GA and the Piedmont of SC as a Tropical Depression on Sunday, June 20th.
