The upper-level high pressure moved into the Four Corners area on July 2, 2021, and above normal levels of atmospheric moisture stayed in place across New Mexico. Another round of widespread thunderstorms impacted much of northern and central New Mexico, and with the high pressure centered over the Four Corners, storm motions became slower and more erratic.
