A surface front and drier air was settling southward across SE GA, with a differential heating boundary across NE FL near I-10 due to cirrus blow-off from storms in Appalachee Bay. Strong to severe storms formed across NE FL due to heating and interactions with the differential heating boundary and sea breezes.
