An area of high pressure remained centered over Nevada, but abundant moisture and moderate instability across New Mexico provided the necessary ingredients for a round of numerous showers and thunderstorms on July 11, 2021. Sufficient deep layer shear also was supportive of organized thunderstorm development and large hail.
