A surface front across SE Georgia brought moist, deep layer WSW flow across NE Florida. An upper level trough axis extended from the SE Atlantic coast to across the FL panhandle. Training bands of showers and storms moved across the local area, enhanced by several mid-level vorticity maxima that streamed over the area.
