A passing upper-level disturbance amid a warm and humid air mass led to scattered showers and thunderstorms across the region. Some of these storms became severe, producing wind damage across parts of Dutchess County. Between 1.50 and 2.50 inches of rain fell in some areas which led to urban flooding in parts of Downtown Albany. A lightning strike caused a house fire in Ulster County.
