A weak low pressure system drifted slowly NE along the GA/SC coastline away from the SE GA/NE FL area, with a moist/tropical airmass in its wake. Westerly flow combined|with diurnal heating produced numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms with the main impact heavy rainfall from slow moving storms.
