A frontal system crossed into New England on the evening of the 25th sparking scattered showers and thunderstorms. An earlier warm front had moved through the region leaving 1/4 to 1/2 of rain in its wake. Later that night, two separate thunderstorms trained over the same area with an hour of each other near Lancaster. The high rainfall rates associated with these later storms produced localized flash flooding in Coos County.
