The final hot and humid day resulted in another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms, some severe, during the afternoon and early evening hours ahead of an approaching cold front across eastern New York. The main areas impacted from these storms stretched from the Mohawk Valley eastward to the Capital District. Another severe thunderstorm impacted portions of Ulster County.
