Low pressure moved northeast from the Ohio Valley and into New England, spreading heavy rain over the region. Rainfall began on the afternoon of April 28th and ended during the evening of April 29th. Rainfall and rainfall rates were high enough to cause serious county wide flooding of small rivers and streams in the midcoast counties of Waldo, Somerset, Knox, and Lincoln.
