After strong to severe thunderstorms produced damaging winds and flash flooding across southeast California during the afternoon and evening of August 31st, upper level dynamic support along with abundant moisture remained favorable for isolated showers and thunderstorms to continue and produce locally heavy rainfall across parts of southwest and south-central Arizona during the early morning hours on the 1st.
