A slow moving cold front approached during the 24th...then crossed the region from the 25th into the 26th. Abundant moisture was drawn north in advance of the front. An initial rain event occurred from the 24th into the 25th. This initial event generally produced 1.50 to 2.50 inches of rain...with local totals approaching 3.00 inches. A negatively tilting upper trough then helped draw moisture from an offshore low back along the cold frontal zone. This led to another rain event from the overnigh
