A coastal storm brought a prolonged period of moderate rainfall across portions of eastern New York, mainly on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. While the rain was not falling particularly heavily, persistent rainfall rates of 0.25 to 0.50 of an inch an hour occurred for several hours across portions of Ulster, Greene, Schoharie and Schenectady counties.
