Flash Flood — Apr 29, 2025

A cold front moved through the combined Panhandles early in the morning of April 29th. Storms developed ahead of the front and some produced severe hail and wind. Heavy rainfall led to some flash flooding. As a weather disturbance crossed the region during the afternoon of April 30th, a few storms became strong to severe.

Flash Flood — Jun 13, 2010

Severe thunderstorms moved across the Texas Panhandle during the afternoon and evening hours. These storms produced large hail...strong thunderstorm wind gusts...and heavy rainfall that produced flash flooding along with an isolated tornado. No damage or injuries were reported.

Flash Flood — May 23, 2007

Severe thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours produced numerous tornadoes...large hail...prolonged flooding and flash flooding...and damaging winds across the central and northeastern Texas Panhandle. No injuries were reported.

Flash Flood — Oct 19, 2002

Thunderstorms produced very heavy rainfall which resulted in flash flooding in the northeastern Texas panhandle during the late morning hours.

Flash Flood — May 19, 2001

Severe thunderstorms containing large hail...damaging winds and flooding rains along with an isolated tornado ravaged parts of the northeastern Texas panhandle during the morning and early afternoon hours.
