Flash Flood — Jul 27, 2010

A cold front combined with a warm and humid air mass to trigger thunderstorms that moved across northeast Wisconsin. The storms produced hail to golf ball size, wind gusts to 95 mph, funnel clouds and heavy rainfall that led to flash flooding. Downed trees and power lines were common and thousands of homes lost power.

Snow melt from Michigan's upper peninsula drained into the Brule and Menominee rivers causing minor flood in mid April.

Warm temperatures during the second week of the month led to significant runoff from snow melt over the northeast Wisconsin. The melted snow plus additional rainfall resulted in moderate flooding in the Brule/Menominee river basin (Florence co. and Marinette co.). Significant rainfall and snow melt resulted in the flooding of roads and low lying areas across north-central Wisconsin.

Flood — May 10, 2002

Rainfall in the Menominee river basin caused minor flooding along the river in Florence and Marinette counties. The river experienced moderate flooding in May 2002 and was near flood stage even before the rain fell.
