Slow moving thunderstorms brought an average of three quarters of an inch of rain in only 20 minutes along with large amounts of small hail on the late afternoon of July 14th. Low pressure moved northward into Wyoming with copious amounts of moisture. This spawned thunderstorms that brought heavy rain to many areas. Along Highway 120 to the south of Meeteetse, the fire department reported a foot of water across the road for a time.
