A cold front accompanying a low pressure system swept through southeast Ohio on the afternoon and evening of June 8th. Strong to severe thunderstorms preceded the frontal passage, which imposed wind damage, large hail, an instance of flash flooding, and three areas ravaged by a tornado. These were confirmed to have occurred in Vinton County with numerous uprooted trees within the damage path.
