Severe storms moved across western Wisconsin during the evening of May 19th and produced a brief tornado, some damaging winds, and large hail. An EF0 tornado occurred southeast of Sparta (Monroe County) and destroyed a camper and outbuilding along with damaging farm equipment and trees. The automated weather observing equipment at the La Crosse (La Crosse County) airport measured a 62 mph gust and a roof was damaged near Barre Mills (La Crosse County).
