Flash Flood — Muhlenberg, KY

Areas south of a stationary front within the lower Ohio Valley warmed into the mid 80's to the mid 90's. The air mass was very moist, with dew points in the lower to mid 70's. Instability was quite strong, with mixed-layer capes around 3000. Minimal wind shear inhibited thunderstorm organization. A storm pulsed up to severe levels, producing isolated damaging winds. Weak steering winds resulted in slow storm movement and an isolated flash flood.
