A stationary front draped north of West Viginia led to several rounds of showers and storms between July 5th and 6th. Overnight clusters of activity diminished each morning, allowing for a brief window of reprieve. This allowed the atmosphere to recharge for renewed convection during the afternoon and evening time frame.
