Diurnally and terrain induced thunderstorms developed across portions of southwest Arizona during the later afternoon and early evening hours. The environment was characterized by a very moist air mass (PWATs 2+ inches) and a highly unstable air mass (MLCAPE 1500+ J/KG). These favorable parameters resulted in the development of strong thunderstorm activity.
