An area of freezing rain developed across northwest Indiana during the early morning hours of February 22nd. The Valparaiso Airport measured 0.09 inches of ice accumulation. Temperatures warmed above freezing by mid morning and then periods of heavy rain moved across northwest Indiana during the afternoon producing localized flooding. The heaviest rains fell across Newton, Jasper and Benton Counties. Storm total rainfall amounts included 3.56 inches four miles west southwest of Goodland in B
