Flash Flood — Gibson, IN

A severe thunderstorm rapidly strengthened during the early morning hours, producing hail up to the size of golf balls and damaging winds from 70 to 80 mph. During the mid-morning hours, a cluster of severe thunderstorms evolved into a thunderstorm complex that produced mainly damaging winds. The severe weather reports were concentrated mainly east of a line from Princeton to Evansville, including the eastern Evansville metro area. A nearly stationary front draped itself from central Texas northeast through the Ohio River Valley and produced multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms, some with very heavy rainfall. Scattered showers and thunderstorms resulted in isolated flooding of roads.
