Ample residual moisture lingered across west-central Colorado. This led to another round of diurnally-driven showers and thunderstorms, favoring the mountains along the Divide. Some storms produced heavy rain. One such storm produced localized flooding in a portion of Eagle County.

Flash flooding between Gypsum and Dotsero resulted in large amounts of mud and rock being deposited on all four lanes of Interstate 70 as well as a frontage road which parallels the interstate. Boulders up to 3 feet in diameter rolled across the traffic lanes.

Thunderstorms produced heavy rain which breached an old irrigation ditch and also resulted in raging rivers of water and boulders up to two feet in diameter to flow down stream beds.
