A complex of severe thunderstorms moved southeast across southwest Indiana, producing locally damaging winds and pockets of flash flooding. The complex of storms initiated along a stationary front draped from west to east across central Illinois and central Indiana. The storms moved into a very moist and unstable air mass across the lower Ohio Valley, with mixed-layer cape values from 1500 to 2500 J/kg.
