A warm front lifted north into the Mid-South during the morning hours of August 9, 2023. An upper-level trough moving into the region interacted with this front to produce numerous showers and thunderstorms from northeast Arkansas during the late morning shifting east-southeast into southwest Tennessee and northeast Mississippi during the early afternoon.
