A frontal boundary and low pressure system located to the west and east of northwestern Connecticut was the focus for rounds of showers and thunderstorms each day September 7-8. Strong to severe thunderstorms were more widespread on September 8. These storms resulted in reports of tree and powerline damage and minor street flooding.
