A strong storm system brought strong winds, heavy rainfall, flooding and high elevation wet snow to eastern New York from the afternoon hours on January 9 into the early morning hours on January 10, 2024. Between 3 and 7 inches of snow fell across portions of the southern Adirondacks along with a light accumulation of sleet and freezing rain before changing over to plain rain.
