A weak cold front brought showers and thunderstorms into the area on the afternoon and evening of May 5th. Previous rainfall had already made a few locations more susceptible to flooding, then storms on the 5th deposited another one and a half to two inches of rain across portions of Gallia County. Ultimately, this led to localized flooding along State Route 775.
