A stationary front extended from central Minnesota into central Wisconsin on July 16. Thunderstorms developed and remained nearly stationary during the early evening hours. This produced very rainfall of up to three and a quarter inches near Westby. Law enforcement reported flooding on county and township roads in north central Vernon county.
