Thunderstorms developed across portions of eastern Oklahoma during the early morning hours of the 1st, near a frontal boundary draped across the area, as an upper level disturbance approached from the northwest. Some of the thunderstorms moved repeatedly across the same areas, which resulted in locally heavy rainfall and some flash flooding.
