The remnants of Hurricane Dolly moved northwestward into far west Texas, passing directly over west El Paso, then curved north and northeastward into Otero County New Mexico. Moisture from this system was spread over the entire area and lingered another 36 hours. Storm totals from early morning of the 26th through the evening of the 27th peaked at more than 4 inches in west El Paso, with most of it falling during a 10 hour period on the 26th. The circulation was easily identifiable on radar loop
