Flash Flood — Jackson, WI

Slow moving thunderstorms produced very heavy rainfall and flash flooding across portions of western Wisconsin late in the evening on August 7th through the early morning hours on August 8th. Cooperative observers reported rainfall amounts of 6.50 inches at Hixton and 6.55 inches at Black River Falls in Jackson County. Law enforcement officials reported mudslides, washed out and flooded roadways across northern Trempealeau and northern Jackson Counties.
