Moisture streaming northeastward from an upper low over the Deep South with additional moisture from Tropical Storm Danny off the North Carolina coast pooled up against a stationary boundary near the Mason-Dixon Line. Several Rounds of heavy rain-producing showers and thunderstorms pushed eastward along this boundary from the early morning hours through the evening of the 28th.
