Widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms associated with deep moisture ahead of a cold front brought heavy downpours with isolated flash flooding to parts of central New York. With some breaks of sun and modest destabilization, isolated thunderstorms became strong, with one storm producing a weak tornado.
